I just finished my 200 hour Rotax 912ULS engine inspection/service. I was really amazed at the results of the leak-down compression test. Out of an allowable 25% loss in cylinder pressure due to leakage past the rings and valves my engine tested out at 2.5 to 3.5%. This is probably better than new. I doubt whether a Lycoming or Continental would come even close to this.
